White worms swimming around after a waterchange

Buddy of mine did a water change and said he notices little white worms. I dont know what to tell him any info or help would be appreciated

If so, that picture is of planaria and they are typically a sign of overfeeding which leads to poor water quality. Your friend needs to cut back on the feeding to avoid so much waste, and do more water changes which includes cleaning the substrate.
 
Other than using Prime (or whatever water conditioner it is that he uses) when doing a water change, no, he just needs to increase the number of water changes he is doing, stop over feeding, and clean the substrate better. (I am assuming he has substrate since this is where the little buggers tend to multiply & stirring it up makes the mess your friend now sees)

Just to note - the planaria themselves are not really a problem, it's the conditions which caused them that is the concern
 
If they are swimming through the water they're nematodes not planaria

They're also harmless and are in the tank for the same reasons you'd see planaria as explained above.
