well, about 5 years ago i got a whites he did ok in eco eatrh but it was too messy so i went with a water bottom with a branch in the middle, after you guys yelling at me i went with a sphagnum moss substrate and a bromiliad well the substrate got nasty fast,(rotted) and the bromilead died so as an early birthday present i got a waterfall system with a filter to keep the eco earth out of it,eco earth,a wood background, and some living mosses. his cage is now nearly done, I'm gonna get some branches that stick to the wall and some sort of vine to give him some cover. pics to come.

off to get more stuff, i might get a pothos for him and some sand for my uromastyx

Please ignore the retic pic...for a while my whites has barely ever opened his left eye,why would this happen/what can I do?

Brown could mean stress. What colour and activity patterns did he come to you as, and what are his activity patterns now?

Do you see anything on the interior/exterior of the eye?

he just goes from green to brown and back like when i got him...later yesterday he stopped keeping his eye closed, maybe it was something from his old cage

The eye thing would then probably be no issue. Just observe him consistently for whether he opens or closes his eye. As for the stress thing, it does seem like it somewhat, or maybe a change in weather around your area.

Not sure "holding his eye closed all the time" is the best description.. More like having that little membrane half up and leaving it there every now and then.
