Hey guys, just adjusting to thinning out my tank. I previously posted about inheriting a 160g with too many fish and got a little hammered ( rightly so) about giving away a 3 bar Dat and a few beautiful peacock bass ( Kelberi and Piquiti). Well, I have a custom8x3ft tank in order so the Aro will get more space.
In the meantime, there was a sale on Neon green rasboras and I saw a few planted Arowana tanks. I know mine is not nearly as planted ( I’m getting to ti), but couldn’t resist on experimenting with a school of 20 of the little guys. I’m down to 10 and counting, but I feel like they have stabilized. The remaining 10 swim at the bottom instead of the top, when I first got them. So long story short, is there a chance my Pleco is knocking them off in the evenings? I’ve seen my Ari chase them half-heartedly during the day, but never gets close or seems overly interested. I was hoping because they are sooooo much smaller, it’s not worth the effort.
Anyways, my plan is to add lots more plants and caves/Driftwood to this and my future 385 g tank, but wanted to hear those experiences if it’s just the Arowana thats eating them, or if the Pleco is also a culprit?
