We all have that one fish that you never really think about, and sometimes even forget was in the tank in the first place. It’s time to let them shine!
For me, it’s my striped Raphael. He comes out very often, and hides in a visible space, but every time I see him I go “Oh, right! I have a catfish in there!” The tank wouldn’t be complete without the extra cleaner in there, plus he is quite fun to watch!
So which fish do you always forget is in there? Would the tank be the same without it?

For me it’s my 10 year old upside down catfish. He may have been one of my first fish ever, but he’s a trooper(survived disease outbreaks, fungal infection from a pleco, loss of territory, and moved in many tanks). Despite all of this, sometimes I forget I have him as he will sometimes hide in driftwood for months, only reason why I know he’s still alive is now he’ll come out to eat now a days. The tank wouldn’t be the same without him because he and a bunch of catfish and cichlids, fight over the same piece of driftwood when I have 5 pieces+caves in there lol.

L114 Sternella that only comes out when I mess with his driftwood. I've had him for eleven years and he's gone from two inches to ten, but that bastard won't come out of hiding unless it's an act of god.

L183 pleco. I only see it if I move the drift wood in the pond. Every time I think " oh yeah forgot about you!". It's a male super aggressive to other plecos but shares the drift wood with half of my polys and 4 synodontis. I don't see many of them often mostly at feeding time, but not the pleco.

I have, or at least *had* a very tiny green phantom pleco, about 3”, I would straight up forget he’s in the tank then once or twice a month I’d find him. I’m not sure what tank I moved him to but I don’t know where he is or even if he’s alive at this point.
