I have had this fish for a few months now, and I still don't know exactly what it is. Does anyone else know for sure? I can't seem to figure it out. He does well with my other fish, and has grown faster than any of the other ones that I bought with him/her.

whatever he or she is... she is either the dominate one in the tank or is really unhappy with tank mates... a few of mine turn black when I add a new fish or when they are top dog... then they get moved into a larger tank and start off again as the little guy... peacock sounds like a good guess... let us know if he changes at all... pics are great... did you get a new camera since the last posting?

Actually my fish don't like getting their pictures taken....I'm not sure why, but they all hide from the camera, but if they don't see it, or if you put it down they all come out. They're very weird about it. So I think that's why he/she was black, but then again....it's always that color.

I would like to guess that it is either a Copidachromis or an Otopharynx. That is going by the colouring and then shape. Looks to be a great looking fish. They do tend to grow a lot faster than the mbuna.:naughty:  :headbang2 :nilly:
