I've got a decent sized channel cat in my 170, he's close to 1' right now. Anyway looked in the tank and he's all beat to hell, and I'm trying to figure who did it. He's healing up in a 20G and I'll put him back in the big tank soon. Here's the suspects:
9" chocolate cichlid - he's a chaser as many chocs are, he does harass the cat when it's feeding time and the cat is surface-feeding but I've never really seen him do any damage.
4" JD - the jack hangs out in the rock caves that my cat also likes to hang out in, but I've never really seen her pay the cat any attention
4" convict - most likely suspect, hangs out in the caves and scraps with the jack, I've seen him nip at the cat but the cat usually gives it right back
There's other fish in there, 6" severums, a poly etc...but I don't see any of them as the problem.
