been like over 30 years since we've owned those

I remember the levers. and if you weren't careful you can get your skin stuck on the sides. like putting your tongue on a frozen light pole or something

My Grandparents had them(as late as the 90's). We had some in the 70's... maybe early 80's

Who wouldn't know what an ice cube tray is? I still have some, but now they are the white plastic ones you twist. The frigidaire has and ice maker so only the one in the garage uses ice cube trays. You know what I bet you're right there are kids that probably never saw one of those, getting old sucks .

I don't know anyone who uses this type,most have either a built in machine or the plastic twisty trays so I wouldn't expect many young bucks to now what they are,not right away anyhow.

these days they push a button or lever on their fridge and ice comes out
