I am not 100% sure but my guess is male bc body looks a bit longer and the fIns look like they can start trailing soon, but it's tricky with green terrors sometimes

This is a tough one,it's dorsal says male but then again you never know, some strains of GT are bred to have extreme fancy dorsals and even females of those particular strains have male like pointy fins, I'm guessing male but if you vent you'll know 100%, shouldn't be that hard of a process too at such a small size. Anyway really nice GT

100% male. Aside from the elongated shape, there's a lot of reticulation within the fins. Females have much more of a "football" shape, and lack the color/reticulation seen here.

Fin reticulation in males presents itself with interlacing of colors/patterns. In females, the fins are usually dull and less vibrant. Look closely at your GT's dorsal/anal fins. Notice the unique color patterns (I.e. Reticulation)?

The picture I attached is of a male GT I had back in 2012. Similar to your fish, he was around 4" here. Again, take note of the reticulation/color patterns in his fins.

It's not too hard to smash my face against the glass and see under each of my fish. And I don't see much more than a tiny spec under my GT. does it make a difference netting the fish out and taking a closer look? Ican see my sevs breeding tube sitting 5 feet away from my tank and I'd rather not rip up my decor to net him. I just have a feeling this GT will turn out to be female. Then again I haven't been keeping fish for that long.

I feel like my GT is super elongated. It wasn't until recently that it started growing boxier towards the tail. Thank you for your input!!

The only thing throwing me off is that it's the only green terror in the tank and it just so happens to be the tank boss. I've heard dominant females can show male - like coloration in this circumstance

female. doesn't surprise me she's tank boss, all my females were always 10x more aggressive than my males. my female has killed at least 6 fish and she constantly chases my male Dovii
