IN YOUR HEAD
i looked in the tank today to see that i now have 4 IT dats instead of 5...the smallest one was 3.5"+- all the others are 4"+...the small one is MIA...the possible offenders are one of the following

a 13"+ silver aro that has been spending more time combing the rock piles

a prick of an orino at around 11"

a 18" ck

a 18" fl gar that looks guilty as hell

a 8"+- endli

what do you think as none of them have even chased a dat then one is missing...
 
Aro or gar,i wouldnt risk that size differenc with my fish thats for sure.

i watch my tank for a few hours in the dark every night...in the dark the dats hide in the rocks...even in the dark nothing would even go after them or give them a second look...though i know it got eatten in the dark cause it was there when i went to sleep and not there when i woke up...no fish had a bulge to prove guilt and it is not on the floor...

i was gonna wait till they were 5"+ before i put them in, but since i have to move and i had to sell a few tanks i needed their tank for some aros, eels, and lungfish to grow out in...i got rid of the biggest threat witch was my a-hole mono...they have been fine for like 3 weeks...anytime something swims colse to one they flare and try to chase it away...all the other fish swim away...thats is why i don't know who ate it...they are taller then most fish at that size so i didn't think they would get eatten, but i knew there was a slight risk...all the others look to big to be eatten as they are the same size my angelfish was when i put it in there...


the ck wont even chase a minnow anymore it just became super lazy and dont even eat shrimp that is to big to swallow without "chewing"...the gar has been fine with sunfish of the same size of the missing dat and it never tried to eat them...

it seems like everyone else thinks like i do as from the replies it could be any of them...except for the endli witch has tried to eat a lungfish of the same size as it when it was smaller...
 
to many fish in that tank that could have done it i wouldnt have risked it in the 1st place
