Who has a big old convict?

My 55 is boring me and I was wondering how big, in actual practice, they will eventually grow to. Since they are rediculously common, I suspect plenty of people have mature specimens around here. If your convict is at least five years old, how big is he?

Do they stay spunky as they get older?

Depends on their genetics, some of the common pet store convict can get 5-6" as they are a mixture of many races( or species) of Cryptoheros, Most wild nigrofasiatus only get about 3" except the Lago Nocaragua race (which is probably A. siquia) can get 6" easy. I have F1 males that are 3 years olds that are that big. Ken

I have had a few that ranged between 5-6.5" ONe recently as last year They pop up here more often than most places just keep and eye open Hold up There is a thread Spizz made with a few large ones!!

I would love to get my hands on a huge convict like the ones in spizz's thread.
Infact, I'd pay pretty good depending on how bulked up it is.
This is the biggest one I had, in breeding colors.
