I like the idea of a frontosa pond, but I don't know if you would be able to enjoy them as much in a pond. Anyone have pictures of what frontosa look like from the top? Do you use white sand or something to make them stand out?

there is a guy in chicago that keeps them in his koi pond in the summmer.
nice huge pond.

can't see too much as his pond is black lined.

I'd like to do an indoor pond, with the front a glass wall.

unless its a large indoor pond with a big window, you'll be wasting money and fish. they are better to view from the side. a frontosa pond may be good if you live in a warm climate or use the pond for temp housing to grow them faster as fish tend to grow much faster in an oudoor pond than in a tank.

Can someone point me in the direction of some pics of frontosas in a pond? I have seen pictures of the frontosa pond in chicago; unfortunately, they are from far away and do not include any pictures of the fish in the pond.

Frontosas are delicate with water conditions and should not be kept in a pond IMO.

I'd say get a nice breeding colony of fronts in a 240 gal that would be nicer than a pond just imagine that.

I think Fronts are better looking from the side then the top.
