Wondering how many people got in on the Gold Wolves being imported lately?

How many do you have? What have you observed temperament wise? Anyone ever kept a group of them?

Are these things little friggin cannibals?

I had 5, but came home to one looking like a piece of tilapia. Have a few smaller rays in with them, but the biggest is only 8-9". Thinking they offed one of their own. Wondering IF I'm going to end up with just 1?

:irked: Not too impressed so far.....

Super awesome compared to what? Other cannibalistic fish like red bellies? I'd agree with that, but as far as wolves go I think there's a few species I'd prefer......

Not cool if they don't tolerate each other..... If they're just going to pick off the weakest till there's only one left then is that or is that not a huge waste of money???

I could have had a few more Lacs..... lol They enjoy each other's company..... :)

Heck my Aimara are more tolerant of other species then these lil devils. :(

I guess my comment was from a 1 pack gold keeper. I had him with armatus and goliath way back then.
I enjoy the constant activity and eager to eat personality.

I had a trio maybe 6-7 years ago. They are the only wolves I've ever owned. They came in pretty rough and I lost all of them within a couple weeks. I had a pretty rowdy tank back then so I can't really say what did them in. They are supposed to be quite active. I wouldn't mind trying them again at some point.

i thought they were supposed to shoal. I have owned them in the past but only one indivual at a time. Mine were not too aggressive. I think I had them housed with parrots though.

Plus +1 very eager to eat.. I mean everytime i come to the tank.. he is begging like a dog LOL..

Personally i like single specimens. More personality then a group of individuals. but thats just me

I had a tank with 6 of them years ago. Those were the WW forum days. There was another person on there that had a successful shoal too. Mine stayed in the middle and top of my tank. They were very well fed. Did pick on then smaller of the guys and had to separate it. Was able to put him back in with no issues. They were very nippy even toward my old polys and cats alone. Had some dithers in there to distract and chase. They did fine for a while before I had a heater incident all passed away. The collection point maybe of importance. Maybe more solitary in other rivers than prefer to shoal.
