Ok so I was at work today and got to thinking about pimas and how they get so damn big. And that got me thinking about johnptc and arapimag and zoodiver b/c they have them/take care of them. But whoelse has a pima in the U.S. or elsewhere. And what do you keep them in or plan on keeping them in. I know a guy from work who told me when he was in college he roomed with this guy from tailand (I think) and how he told him that alot of ppl will dig ponds for them and keep them. They are supposed to bring luck.

So who has them
Has plans to get one
Helps take care of one or more
Where are you located

By the way for those of you that are lucky enough to care for one of them (or more) you are very lucky and I and very jelous of you ;)

Where's the "Don't-have-because-they-need-a-couple-thousand-gallon-tank" option?

I Was going to add that option but decided not to b/c its more based on finding out who has or has had them not who thinks they can be kept in a 125 for life lol ;)

Even on MFK, I doubt that there's more than 20 People that have them, simply because of their enormous size :(. These fish are great though, and I'd definately get one if I could.

that what got me thinking I dought there are many ppl who have them and even fewer who are able to care for them like they should be cared for. I know there isn't many but I was wondering if there was anyone in the woodwork that We didn't know had one.

I think a registry of sorts would be cool for these fish. You know like anything else that is rare or unique

Yeah, that would be pretty cool. It's just the massive requirements simply to keep them alive is only for the most hardcore ]v[FKers. I can only think of about 4 people off the top of my head that I've seen on MFK with pimas.
