Who has seen A Scanner Darkly?

I wanted to see it for the simple fact that I am an illustrator/artist. Well visually it's good, they've essentially shot a film as per normal and done a graphic illustration of almost every frame in the film. Impressive. It looks great in this style, and markedly different from every other animation technique. He did another film, that was entirely rotoscoped called waking life - which I prefer.

Even if you have a visual interest in this film, I find it hard to recommend, maybe watch 5 minutes. It's a boring, charmless, dreary pile of ****. Boring story, lifeless characters, no wit, no surprise, no philosophy, NOTHING.

QUEER Linklater, you ****ing cockfart.

There was nothing to anticipate in the film.
Maybe keanu reeves was the wrong choice seeing as he is kinda typecast right now in those kinda movies.
I dont know what direction the writers were trying to take the movie.
I also felt no affinity towards many of the characters.
rob downey jr. stole the show.
