Its been a like 8 years since they first become avail with some regularity so there should be some big ones by now .I would guess 24 " atleast due to tank limitations .If there is no large ones we might have a good idea they do not last long in captivity .I wish I had a large goliath to post myself but would like to see them as I am sure others would .

yeah that's in Taiwan, and there are a lot of big ones there, not in the US though., mostly smaller, largest I've heard recently is about 18"
yeah that is one SICK goliath. btw What size tank is it in... is that a 180? because it looks pretty comfortable in there. Whats his growth rate been like man?
For the past year the gatf has been in the tank with big bichirs and no problem.
In the past, it's been kept with NGT, gars, tigrinus, jau cat, japanese perch, arowana, fly river turtle, and other tankmates without any problems.
Only problem was when it was under 6" and kept with other gatf's...shredded those up so they had to be sold off.
It's been in a 72x30x24 since I took these photos over a year ago and it's doing fine...moving it to my 120x48x32 when I finish remodeling my new house.
The tank is 72x30x24 so around 230 gallons.
I've had it since it was 3" when I got it in Spring 2007.
