So ive been thinking about adding a couple of Blue Botia (Yasuhikotakia modesta) to my 125. Since one of my LFS has some for a killer deal of $5.99. What I've read is they can reach as larger as 10". Does any one have or seen of any that size? What have your experiences have you had with them? Would they mix well with Clowns?

The largest I've ever seen was around 6". I had a group of 5 once, very cool fish. Never mixed them with clowns though. I'm sure they would get along just fine.

I have 3 with my clowns...more aggressive, need to have their own little holes and would chase clowns and others away from their spots. I have 3 vs 30+ clowns so no clowns, even small ones are really harassed...if you have 10 blue loaches and three clowns the story will be different.

my adult botia modesta killed banded knivefish who was 20 cm long.I dont believe it until i have seen dead banded knivefish.By my experience with botia modesta i would combine modesta with bigger cichlids or another botia modesta....
