Well, I know there are people here who have been keeping fish for decades, and people who take in adult fish. I just read that the worlds oldest koi is two hundred and twenty freaking six years old.
...In my own tanks though I got a neon that survived my first newbie disaster tank. He's almost two, here's hoping that he makes it to twenty and that I see some folks old fish.

right NOW in my tank is my oscars at about 5 months old. but oldest fish i ever had was my moms blood parrot at 8 years old. donated to the olds folks home ( forgot the name of it ) cause i wanted others there to enjoy it and i wanted it to have a bigger tank ( 55 gallon tank they had ) and i only had a 29 after my mom past away. oh and my pink female convict at 5 years old, died from known causes.

At the moment, My Oscar is 4.5 yrs. old and my Jag is prolly 4 yrs old.

But i had a carnival goldfish that i got when i was like 2, my parents won it for me lol, and it died when i was 13, so he was 11 years old.

i have a 6" EBJD thats a year old.... :D

all my current stock is fairly new (2 years or so) but my oldest fish that I have kept was a raphael cat I got in grade 8 that I sold 2 years ago when I moved out of my parents place into my own house.

he was 15 years old.

I hope he is doing well still today.
*claps* and I hope so too.

I have a White Goldfish in my tank that is seven years old and six to four year old Comet Goldfish both of them are at least over eight inches and I have two smaller goldfish who are six months old and growing fast.

I had a group of fish before this patch that where eight years old and could have been easly 10 to 12 years old if I hadn't of had all my fish die at one during a red sores outbreak do to them getting to big for the tank and me not able to buy a bigger fish tank for them.

Right now I hope all my Goldfish can at least live another three years so that they can see me move them from a small 75 gallon fish tank to a 2000 to 5000 gallon cinder block fish tank I plan on building right now when I move out.

I have a silver dollar and common pleco that are going on ten years old, I'm betting that the pleco outlasts mem
