Who here keeps bichirs in planted tanks? Fertilizing question

I have a planted filter on my 75g polypterus tank and one of the plants is experiencing severe nutrient deficiency - iron it seems. I'm wondering if it would be safe to try dosing iron but I would appreciate general advice on fertilizing safely as well.

I dont see a problem with that.

I don't either but I thought I better ask just in case. For all I know maybe polys are sensitive to iron! Don't want to risk my babies. =D

Iron should be fine, they are a little sensitive to copper iirc.

After reading up more on plant nutrient deficiencies, I'm not sure if it's iron or magnesium. I don't suppose polys would happen to be sensitive to magnesium either?
