I got a sample of this stuff from a LFS and was wondering who else use it on here and like it. I just started to see LFS carrying this brand let me know what type of plecos you feeding it to.

I use it and like it. I feed it to my L7 and L114 and L600. I break it in to smaller pieces for the smaller plecos. I give a whole wafer to the larger plecos every other day.

I like it as doesn't break down as quickly as some other wafers. Someone in my fish club did a non-scientific experiment, and found that the Xtreme wafers didn't fall apart like other wafers after a few hours.

My l114 and l24 eat it pretty well, It do hold together nicely. I dnt know if it has enough meat and protein for certain plecos. I worry about any kind of wafers that green in color, I think it mainly algae and not enough of meat.

I like NLS a lot more the mega fish is great stuff all my plecos love the stuff.

They didn't care for the extreme I tried when they were handing out samples

I'm going to rotate the Xtreme into my plecos diet. Spectrum is great, I just wish they made wafers. The 10mm pellet doesn't sink well.

Are we talking about the same food?

The mega fish sinks and doesn't float at all. It drops the second it hits the water.
It's the only wafer/disc I use to feed my plecos for almost two years.

^^^^ my LFS doesn't carry the mega fish, the do carry NLS and some larger spectrum pellets too, my LFS carry the 10mm pellets floating kind. I will have to get mega fish, what size are the mega fish pellets.

They say 10mm its a great food.

Lfs charge too damn much. I pay $53 for 1875g from a food supplier.

I think kensfish sells it not sure if you've ever bought off him.

Kensfish make some good pellets for sure, some of the best ingredient goes in their fish food.
I feed my plecos kens, hikari, spectrums and now xtreme, but I will definitely get some mega fish.

Extreme has turned into my favorite food brand in the past year. 've have now switched it in as my staple diet for all of my American and mbuna cichlids and livebearers (cichlids community and the flakes).

It is also the only pelletized food that I feed to my plecos now. (Ancistrus & Panaque). It does have a bit more protein than most algae wafers, but it's main ingredient is sweet pea which balances out the extra protein by acting as a natural laxative for the plecos.
