Who is growing floating plants?

Exactly what the title says.

Who has floaters in with their preds?

What do you have, how sucessful have you been, and how are you lighting your tank?

Lastly, PM me if you are willing to split me some off and ship them flat rate.
 
I use to keep...
lettuce
dwarf lettuce
red root floater
frogbit
azolla
asian water grass

all work fairly decent but the fish would tear some of it up, the lettuce/dwarf lettuce was a beast when it came to soaking up nitrates. Careful with shipping some of these or having them shipped, some states prohibit it.
 
Yup, Im aware. I have already checked on a couple websites and found no problems with lettuce.

I used to keep, and sell red root floater...but then over harvested and now have none, I would like something a little larger than that.

What sort of lighting would you recommend for frogbit or dwarf lettuce on a tank with my footprint? 48"x30"?
 
simple fluorescent tubes would suffice, they're floating plants so the lighting is good enough, it's not like aquatic plants where light has to penetrate through the water. Plus since they are floating they will be really close to the light.
 
i had a giant wad of wisteria and water sprite floating in an old pred tank and it held up really
 
Im looking to get some cheap hardware store LED's to keep power down as much as possible. Any recomendations there?

NC - interesting, I can see wisteria growing that way...stuff wont die.

That being said Im looking for true floaters, larger fast growing ones with large roots.

I have plants that weren't supposed to be floaters but they ended up on the surface lol. No matter what I do to cover them they are torn up :(
