They're pretty mean. Even though they are African cichlids, they'll do well with large SA/CA's in a nice size tank(60x18 minimum, 72x24 is better)LeahisAweome;2401074; said:

Large spots (bleekeri) have fewer, but larger spots.

oh and these fish are quiete tame by cichlid standards. well in relation to size.
a similar sized JD or midas or GT will bully them alot. they are like oscars. big but not necasarily as aggresive as the other fish their size.
in which case its best to keep them alone. as with all cichlids you get some variable temprement so yes you could have a really mean one but thats just the odds you face with cichlids
