Who is your favorite sump manufacturer? Why?

Im new to the hobby and would like to make the right choice the first time. Are there manufacturers you would stay away from? Thanks inadvance for your input.

My favorite is Pro Clear. They use quality materials so all parts are durable and long lasting, 5 years now without any problem. The other sump I used its tubing broke within a year and the overflow box couldn't handle the specified flow rate. I am very pleased with Pro Clear.

In case you wanted to know which one to stay away from that I was talking about, it's Eshopps. Also, the plastic screws for the overflow box were so cheap they broke as well.

Im glad you mentioned that, the LFS was pushing that brand when I was asking them for their advice. Thanks again, you saved me from wasting alot of money.

i had a proclear for a year before I had to get rid of it bc couldnt fit the overflow on my new tank without a lot of handy work and "ruining" my new tank.

nothing but good things to say about the proclear. it was even one of their first models, so it had been used for at least 4 years before i even bought it. could feel the quality

my buddy has a del rey 125 going on a year now. bought it used as well. no problems with that one either.

(CPR overflows were used with both these sumps, no problems with those either)
