There are a few African species I am looking for but I'm not picky.

Could you be more specific? it makes it easier to suggest where to go if I know what you want.

Well the African ones that I mentioned,I saw in a store back in the spring and they were about the size of a silver dollar coin, reddish in color and were priced at thirty dollars each.I have since forgotten the name of this crab but the dealer said that he didnt know if they would be available again.I was looking for some of those patriot or halloween crabs but the store that usually has them didnt bring them in this summer. The two that I mentioned or any other crabs that dont grow very large would be considered.I've always been fascinated with crabs and I've kept different saltwater types plus I'd like to collect the freshwater species but could never find very many. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the link and I'd stumbled upon this just a few days ago.I figured that they would be expensive since they would be shipping from so far, know any others?

Those are the only ones I have available for import, though I don't typically bring them in. There may be more out there, I will check my lists.

Thanks again.

I think you've got "rainbow" (sometimes "soapdish") crabs, Cardisoma armatum, in mind.

Yeah,I like them too.

I too am quite interested in exotic freshwater crabs. Ijust got a Caridsoma guanhumi a few months ago and I've really been looking into odd land crabs ever since. Tarantulaspiders.com had a C. quantami for sale but I had to turn it down since I was at college (and the crab was going to go for a lot of money)

IF you know of any other places to get odd, exotic terrestrial and freshwater crabs I'd really love to know. IMO Patriot crabs and the orange "moon crabs" are almost getting a tad generic now lol. The ones you provided in the link sure seemed intriguing but there wasn't a whole lot of information available.
