Who knows their botias? Species plz

Is this Yasuhikotakia Lecontei, Y. Eos or something else? Hard to get a good pic, they are so fast. Lfs got them in as Skunk Botia which they are definitely not. They are awesome mts snail destroyers. I have large Yoyo loach and Y. Modesta in with them which have never put a dent into the snails like these guys have.

They have slightly yellowish orange tint to the fins, darker gray stripes on the flanks and the black oval at the tail.

I Google'd but never came up with that page, nice job! I agree, the pic of the Eos looks the closest fin-wise. They are feisty little buggers.

I have 3 of those and they're y.eos aka
sun loaches. Nastier than skunk loaches ime. The biggest eos Puts my tiger loach in its place.

They drove all the tetras out of the lower 3rd of the tank, don't seem to bother the other loaches or my syno cats

They are territorial and like their space. Very nice loach and I don't see a lot of them offered for sale.

I wish that I had bought more than 3, went back to see if they had more but they had sold out.

I need to find another Modesta as well.

No they didn't. They looked lighter in color when around 2" that's all. As mine grew bigger they got darker and my biggest one that's 4" is like a chocolate color. Is that pic one of yours?
