Just a few days ago i bought a 55G setup from my LFS, i apicked up some fish and i'm now fully addicted to it.

So much in fact that I'm already looking to purchase a secondary Tank.

Perhaps for Saltwater.. looking into the possibility of keeping an octopus/reef..

Could anyone advise on who makes the better tank available, perhaps ballpark prices and lastly, where i can order online?

I'm located in NYC if that makes a difference.

thanks in advance!

check out craigslist if you want to go bigger, tanks cost too much at the lfs. you might get lucky, i got a full 55 set up for $60 from a guy who was desperate to sell

Becareful buying used tanks as you never know what they have been through. Some are great deals others are disasters waiting to happen. As far as brands, I like allglass/aqueon some here may disagree by they've always been good for me.

Yeah if you buy new go with All-Glass/Aqueon.

IMO every year perfecto figures out a way to make their tanks cheaper to make, but they charge the same price. Their glass is thinner, less braces for larger tanks, shoddy silicone work, ect.

Beware the Octopus! Really, really really, really hard to deal with. Too smart, too strong and too persistant. Reefs are nice.

ya...I have never had a octapus but I have read stories that were insane about some of the stuff they will do. from what I understand you bascially have to lock your tank down....like every inch of it. but it would be cool to have one.

I know alot of folks buy used tanks, but personally I'd never do it for obvious reasons. Agree with Def my next tank is going to be the Marineland Deep Dimention (DD) 300 with starfire glass.

BTW do some research on the puss!
