I only have a couple of fish that have names, one being a 2 year old jack dempsey called Jean-Baptiste. I have had other named fish,usually fish I've had for a while, but not any at the moment.
Who names their fish?

I have a synodontis eupterus called mr proffesor catfish, got the name when my friend took a photo of it and added a little hat on photoshop.
Nobody gets named in my larger tanks (reef, community, oddball, hillstream, etc.)... too many occupants, and I don't want to engender jealousy (good lord I love projecting my neuroses upon my charges).
Single specimen-only tank occupants have names though:
Figure-eight puffer (10g snail disposal tank): Eightball.
Redfin Pickerel (20g rubbermaid): Uncle Ruckus.

hehe i havent named any of the fishes i have but i have named my turtle cootie ( he/she is a baby Florida red bellied cooter)
Every time I name my fish, they end up dying. So no names for me. I'll call them a random name once in awhile, but no set name.
Well, when I think of a good name for the fish then I do. My blood parrot that died was named Peaches but my new one (alive this time, hahaha) it's name is Lady. I can't think of a good name for any of the others - suggestions???? What would you name a red bellied Pacu, Frontosa, BGK, and 2 rainbowfish??
well Pacus maybe Charlie (for Characin) Rainbowfish are Australian Silversides so maybe Aussie and Flash, I don't know what a BGK is but because of the initials BGK maybe Burger King? Or king? Rex? IDK. The Cichlid maybe Indigo. IDK, I'm not good at naming fish that I had to google to know what it is...
