well before i even knew what mopar meant(yes im straying away:eek:) and well before i could drive i loved fox body mustangs, specifically 87-93. well seems that their dirt cheap these days and im looking to buy one. these cars are getting pretty damn old though and was just wondering what issues i might be looking for, other than the fact that many have had the piss rung out of em.

and post picks if you got em

I don't have a 87-93, but I did have a 98 GT. It was killer, when I get older and have some extra dough I want to get another 98 GT.

I have a 01 V6 :( Convertible now. I love it besides the fact it sounds like a electric engine compared to the V8.

C'mon now people help this guy out, since I obviously didn't at all. lol

My step dad used to have an 89 State Trooper 5.0, it was pretty sweet. He traded that and a 94 5.0 for his 99 GT. I know a girl who currently has a white 89 5.0 but shes not driving it due to some problems with it, and unfortunately I don't think shes looking to sell. I'll ask next time I see her though.

Well it is possible to get a good one, they are hard to find but it can be done. If it were me I would buy a decent one and do a frame up restoration. Parts are easy to come by and pretty cheap. Rust shouldn't be much of an issue and any part you need is available. You would be in better shape than I am with my Mustang project, but mine is nearly 44 years old.

 Frame up! LOL. They're uni-body, there is no "frame". But I know what you're saying.

I've got an '82. Did a 5.0 conversion. You should watch for rust in the floors, the trunk/hatch, and around the strut towers.
