Last night we went to see Gallagher - talk about a blast from the past! I grew up as a kid in the eighties, so it was really cool to see an icon of 1980s comedy live.

He started out the show with about an hour or so of really funny standup, and then the nastiness started. For those of you that aren't familiar with his act, Gallagher is famous for his use of the Sledge-o-Matic.

I'm the one in the green/white striped shirt. :grinno:

I wish i could get some watermelon and other various stuff smashed onto me by gallagher. I had no idea he was still doing shows ( him or his brother). Looks like you had a fun time!

Oh dear god, he's still at it...

I'm 28 and remember this guy vividly! My father was a big fan. I remember being told to get out of the room for a while and being told we could come back when the Sledge-o-matic came out. Wasn't till I was a little older that I found out why me and my brothers were told to get out.

Same thing went for Richard Pryor

i loved gallagher.

It was the real Gallagher. (Leo) Gallagher sued his brother Ron in 2000 to stop Ron from performing (impersonating) his act.

It really was a good time, we saw him at a little Indian Casino in central Oregon. It was in a fairly small conference room, and we were right up front and center. :headbang2

Haha, classic!

Anybody who studies comedy can't get too far without learning about Gallagher. My parents were also huge fans. I'm 29 and would happily attend a Gallagher show. Congrats on meeting a legend!
