i have two commons who are doing well together too.. usually this is not the case..so i quess we are lucky.,
i tryed the gn/ common combo no luck...i might do the 2 commons next i am thinking cause 1 is 13" the other is 6"

My 9inch and fast growing 6inch get along in my 55gal tank. The 6inch was about 3-4inches when I put them together
nice... i think my 13" is just a *** cause it was in an african tank as a young pleco and at the time it was put in the tank was violent...the tank has since calmed but then they killed everything lost 12 africans, 1 jewal, 1 common pleco, 1 jd in 2hrs...they were an angry bunch...they often took the big pleco and draged it by its dorsil across the tank, then after they let go the pleco attacked them...i think it is still angry itself i know i would be...now the africans are with balas no problems

....Wow! I'm really surprised you guys have had so many issues housing multiples. We have been totally fine so far. We also have driftwood setups with all our plecos so they each have their own designated area. Every now and then the bigger guys (6 inch common, 4 inch L139, 8 inch sailfin) squabble over food but we have had only one ripped fin.
The guys in the pictures I've posted have been very docile too.
