who should get the custom tank?

ok so i am designing a custom tank that i will be building next summer, but the question is which critter should get it? the tank will be 6 feet long 2-2.5 feet tall(depends on budget) and 2 feet deep. i have a big fat male beardie that is 19 inches in a 40 breeder or a juvi male CA kingsnake in a 15. now i can either put my beardie in the custom i am building and move the kingsnake into the 40 or keep the beardie in the 40 and put the kingsnake in the custom. i figured i might as well ask you guys cause who goes in the custom tank changes how i build it. cause if i put the beardie in i am gonna rig it with plenty of lighting/heating built into the tank itself. and if its the kingsnake i am gonna build a custom water dish/river system thing into the tank. so what do you guys think? who deserves the tank more? the king or the beardie? also should i do glass or acrylic?

I would put the king in the 40 and the beardie in the new tank. Snakes coil up and even when at thier longest, they still don't take up space. Beardies always look brolic and more space the better.

Agreed, beardie in the custom viv, he'll probably make better use of the extra space.

Definitely the beardie. I think a kingsnake would be comfy in a 40.

ya my original plan was for the beardie but my king is super active and my beardie is fat and sits on his cliff(magnetic, pet-tech.com, they are the best!) so i started wondering who should get it.

Shouldnt you be designing the cage around the animal? Not the other way around?

I would say the beardie, but if you decide to go for the kingsnake, take into consideration that your tank will have to be thoroughly escape-proof.
