Well, the time has come to start moving fish around. They have outgrown their grow out tanks and need more space. I went out and bought a 130 gal tank this week (which I'm stoked about). Now I just need to figure out who is going where and am looking for some opinions. I would like to work it out so that the 130 holds most of the fish and I can cut out some of the smaller tanks. I do have an extra 75 and a couple 55s if needed. I am also willing to give up a fish or two if that's what it comes down to but I'd rather not. So, how do you think I should divide them?

10"-11" GT
9" Strigata Pike
8" Synspillum
6" Midevil
6" Cyano Texas
7" JD (m)
6" JD (f)
6" Convict (m)
2-3" Convict (f)
6"-7" Bullhead Catfish

Nice and simple:

Put them all in the 130, then remove any troublemakers or fish that aren't working out to great.

Obviously the GT has to stay in though :D

That was pretty much my thoughts exactly. I'm just worried that it might be too much fish for the tank. As for the GT, I thought about giving him his own 75g but I might need to reserve that for the Midevil or Texas. They tend to be trouble makers and the pike is a bully too.

That Synspillum will be a troublemaker. I have a female that is the same size as yours and she thinks she runs the tank, but I can see why she is trying to find a mate every time she is laying eggs. I would honestly keep the GT for sure, because they're awesome fishes to own and I really wish I didn't have to get rid of my female GT last year.

Well, as of now the Syn is the only on that is going in the 130 for sure. I want to make sure that he has the space needed to reach his full potential. Also, he gets picked on a bit right now. He'll stand up for himself sometimes but in the end he is always the underdog. I'll be happy when he surpasses the others in size.

If it were me (and I don't often think about removing tanks), I'd go:

JD pair in one 55

All the convicts in another 55

The rest I'd put in the 130 and the one that causes the most trouble gets the 75 alone.
