I was doing a water change earlier today and while I was cleaning the inside surface of the glass I thought about the BB that is said to live on all surfaces in our tanks. It seems as if I am wiping out whole colonies of bacteria while wiping away the bio film from the glass.

Mag float every other day on the front then total scrub down once a month.

just make sure you wash your hands afterwords because nobody wants an infection

Interesting replies...no one seems to be too concerned about the bacteria,if there is any on the glass.

I usually wipe mine 1-2 a week as I have my tanks outside in my back yard and they do get a good amount of sunlight. But I get a lot of nice dark/neon green algae on my rocks. I usually leave the back of the tank to build a thick algae wall
