I have a male convict 4 inches an a 3 and half inch jack dempsey on oen side with tank divider in between them im tkain it out shortly and they r almost bustin it down to fight when i do who do you think will take it? i wont let em hurt eachother but its nature. this convict one time even clamped onto my nose when iw as tryign to look at its fry ahah its pretty bad.

id say breeding cons would win, but if not breeding it depends on size of JD. JD should win if significantly bigger, but if close in size, id put my money on the con.

SPecific temperaments vary on each fish. I've had some pretty nasty of each. I had one REALLY nasty con(actually still have him) that BROKE THROUGH my divider to kill an oscar twice the size of him and several injure another(the other is now pretty much healed, but the tail is still a bit rigid). I also had a jack dempsey that was pretty evil and almost killed a breeding con...before my tilapia killed him.

I agree, if about the same size the con is likely to win. But he'd better kill the jack because when the jack doubles his size it's likely another story...

a 4inch mature con Vs a 3.5inch baby JD

Mike Tyson Vs the 5year old kid from down the road .lol...

CON - 1
JD --- 0

I'm going with the convict, My 4" male is a little bugger especially if he's getting the upper hand only seperation will prevent a death then.
