my first spawn of albino cons are about 4 weeks old now but today my male started beating the crap out of the female. i got her seperated from him and waiting to recoup. will he keep doing this once i put her back in i think hes stressed that his children are growing to fast or something so hes taking it out on her haha. what to do?

Hm, normally the pair will not fight.......Try adding some more hiding spaces.......maybe more plants.........More pots.............As for the fry, they are tradeable/saleable when about 7 weeks old.......

Usually it won't stop. The male wants to breed again probably but the female is not ready, keep them seperated. Once cichlids decide not to get along there is not much you can do about it.

I actually heard it's pretty common. I'd keep them separated until you take the fry away from them. Essentially he is protecting the fry from her right now. Whether she was actually acting agressive to them or not, who knows. Pretty soon both parents will start viewing the fry as food instead of children, so you'll want to separate the fry unless you don't mind some casualties. The parents will likely have another batch of eggs going before long.
