i have a planted tank with twelve discus and other community fishes and all my discus seem to have whole in the head. my water params are perfect. the fishes seem healthy and are eating well. water is about 83F. i also have a co2 setup and my pH is at 7, so i don't know what to do. i've tried all the medication available but nothing seems to work. any suggestions. thanks

Almost all the HLLE cases are caused by poor water quality.
So I would start to increase you water changes.

I would also try meds that contain metronidazole and increase the temp to 86.

Check the links in the HITH sticky.

That is a good sticky I didn't really think diet had such a big role is hole in the head disease. I was always under the impression that it was a water quality issue.

Hexamita is thought to only be a protozoa disease associated with HITH/HLLE but not actually the disease causing organism?
