Got my tank downstairs last night.... Had to cut a hole n the side of my house to move it in, thats ok, Im adding a larger window there now anyway....

No pictures yet, not for awhile untill I get it all plumbed and I am happy with how it looks. Heres the details...

96x48x15 Around 300g. 2" thick acrylic all around. No bracing at all, which is SWEEET! I cannot believe how thick 2" is, looks crazy. 75g sump for filtration. Reeflo Dart for circulation.

Ill get pics up after awhile, for now I have too much work to do to get it running.

Relevant to this section as I intend to use this strictly for Gar at this point.

Sounds awesome. Glad to see the gar forum is becoming full of 4' width MFK'ers. :headbang2

Welcome (back?) to the 4' wide club:D

Sounds greart. Can't wait to see how it looks without bracings! And that acrylic! 2 inches?! That's an insane build man.

Also, since u specifically wanted a tank without bracings, I've got to assume you have something planned for the top view of the tank too?

Again, sounds great. Can't wait to see updates.

Yea, its back to the 4' club for me. My last tank met an unfortunate end.....

It's the perfect height for a look down if standing, and a side view if seated on the couch. I really like this.

Finished all the plumbing last night, I just have to figure out what to use for a top when Im not viewing it..... Dont want any jumpers with a topless.

Chris

Gotta be patient.... Ill try to get some pics of the tank itself tonight. No GAR yet.

chris, i went with a black wire mesh. meant that i can still view the fish but they cant get out. looks pretty sleek too. cant wait for pics!

Thats about what I was thinking. Just building a screen frame, and screening the top. Maybe add hinges and divide it into thirds or somthing. On my way to Home depot now.

patiently waiting for pics..
