Well, I have a 29 gallon oceanic biocube system...it is GREAT! I have a 3 1/2 inch picasso trigger named pablo, a 3 inch yellow tang, three half inch frill finned gobies, and two skilletfish...not to mention I also have some frogspawn coral...

When i originally bought the yellow tang, the guy at the LFS said that my trigger would kill the tang on sight...:headbang2I defeated the odds and turns out pablo doesn't even fight with the tang, they get along perfectly, never fought for dominance or anything...

second...i bought the coral and was told that my picasso trigger would eat it as soon as he saw it...well...:headbang2had it for 2 months and pablo swims right by it and doesn't even try to touch it...its awesome...I love my tank...here's a few pics of my critters...

I am so proud of my tank...I love my tank and i hope it keeps going this great! Just thought I'd share my little tank of evergrowing suprises!

I don't quite know how to tell you this nicely so I'll just come out and say it. Your tank is way too small for the trigger I won't even bring up the tang . Sorry, to say this but, I hope that you'll be upgrading to at least a 75 gal for the trigger and more like a 90 for the tang. Oh, and the p.t. won't eat anything that's going to sting it so... you got lucky there. I would always research before I bought a fish.
Sorry, to be the bringer of bad tidings

Ditto!

well ill be moving soon to a new house and the area I had picked out originally in the house i have now wasn't big enough to support the 125 gallon tank that I have sitting in storage right now...I plan to move within the next 3 to 5 months, and from there I will set up the 125 and move the fish and coral into that tank. Pretty much, they won't be in the 29 much longer, I'm just waiting on the move, a 29 gallon is MUCH easier to move and transport than a 125 and the fish were not in big tanks to begin with. The person who owned the picasso previously had him in a 10 gallon and the yellow tang was in a 5 gallon with 1 pound of live rock....so I think it's okay for the next few months until I move. The last time I upgraded, I almost lost a fish. He was moved from a 15 gallon to a 29 and for some reason I almost lost him just from moving tanks. I am going to upgrade to my 125 but I have to wait until I move and then the tank will be in the living room instead of a bedroom.

Good plan!

Just because they were in that size tank, doesn't mean it's right. I hope you get your tank up soon.

Good, i was worried for a sec. I am glad you have a plan to move them up. if it goes longer than the 5 months you may need to move them anyways, at least temporarily, just to keep them happy.

keep a close eye on them. if you see darting or fidgity behavoir then they are not happy and will break out in ich. keep an eye on them and you should be fine.

They will only contract ich if the parasite is in the tank. Even with that though I'm glad they'll be getting a bigger home, the 29g is awfully cramped, I'm shocked at what they were in before you got them.

The second you add live rock or live sand to a tank your odds of having the ich parasite in the tank is through the roof. then if you add a tang or puffer or any fish that gets it easily then you have also just added the parasite. Ich can remain dormant for a long time and it can even do it on the fish. you will not see it until it is fully active but it will still be there, it is everywhere looking for a weak immune system so it can bloom.

That is why you QT everything live that goes into your tank. Ich has a cycle and needs a host to survive long term. I believe it is possible to have an ich free system.
