Atractosteus Spatula!
saw this guy at a lfs and couldn't resist. best looking gator i've ever seen by a clear mile. perfect from snout to fin. great chompers, and in amazing shape. named him "snouty" Really mean and aggressive specimen, never stopped trashing for more than 10 mins at a time all the way back. immediately established himself as the "boss" of the tank.
this leaves me with Atractosteus Tropicus, the elusive Tropical gar to collect before my Atractosteus Sp. collection is complete.

Believe it or not there are actually 5 bichirs in this tank. there were 7 two days ago, yet the tank doesn't look like its bichir population size had gone down really. how anyone can go ga-ga over those living "logs" i can never understand...
