I accidentally unplugged my Xp4 on sunday.....and Only had a powerhead running for 4 days...

I noticed the water getting cloudier, but figured it was just because of the bubbles and the fact that both of my aquaclear 70s were broken.

I bought an AC110 yesterday and when I set it up, thats when I noticed my XP4 was unplugged.

Weirdly none of my fish looked stressed at all and all were active?

Rinse out the filter before turning it back on. I had canisters unplugged for a week or so and when I rinsed them out it reeked of hydrogen sulfide.

I did that too for three days. All my fish were okay.

The beneficial bacteria in the tank may have been enough to keep ammonia/nitrites in check. or maybe not.

Did the cloudiness look like particulate in the water?

It may be an ammonia spike / mini cycle going on
