I tried setting up a display / growout tank in the living room and my veil tail RT was one of the tenants. I thought he was male due to his tude and body shape compared to others in the batch. I dropped the ball assuming and chaos is coming. These 2 already have half the tank held hostage. Normally I'd pull her, but I have to let this one play out.

I fall in love with that fish more I see it and I don't like veil tails in cichlids. It paired up with the vieja?

Yeah it's looking like it. No eggs yet, but definitely looking forward to seeing the outcome if they do the deed. The batch with the veil tails were about 50/50 long fin and regular fins so if I can pull some with that vieja shape and deep red I'll be stoked.
