i did a search on here and it seems like no one has any full grown bartoni. if you have some please post pics here and your experience with them. i have a pair comming sometime this week and just want some heads up on what to expect. also would love to see some pics.

I got 6 babies from Rapps. They were doing well and got to around 2". Had them in a 30g. Came home one day and 2 had paired off and killed the other 4 while I was at work. They laid eggs and then the male killed the female. I now have a 3" male

.im supposed to trade a lyonsi pair for a breeding pair of bartonis. if i put them in a 75g of their own with maybe a few silver dollars they should be fine huh?
I would not trust them without a divider. I talked to a few other people after my trouble about them and I heard several of the same story. Get a pair, male kills female.
Maybe if the pair you are getting is well established and has a good bond you will be OK, but I wouldn't risk it. Often time switching tanks or shipping, etc, triggers more aggression when they are put back together. I would divide them to start with and only try them together when you are there to watch them. If the male is larger just cut a hole for the female. If they are the same size divide them to be on the shafe side.

im picking mine up today at 2:30pm. he was supposed to trade me a pair for two lyonsi but since they will be hard to sex after he starts chasing them in the tank, he is going to bring me 4. cant wait.
