Some of you probably remember a similar thread from a while back in General Aquaria. The point of that thread was to keep track of who on the forum had the biggest of every species of fish entered to be a part of it. I'm trying to recreate this thread only to make it more realistic, instead of including every species and kind of fish, only catfish will be accepted as a part of this. To be scientifically correct, only Siluriformes will be allowed to enter! However that's still a very large group of fish encompassing corys, plecos, doradids, auchenipterids, pimelodids, mochochids, bagrids, silurids, ictalurids, and several other groups of catfish. I've thought of a pretty good system to keep this organized by using the separate families of catfish, that way keeping track of who has the biggest what won't be nearly as difficult as it was on the first thread based around this idea. So let's get this going guys! Start submitting your entries and let's see who has the biggest catfish of each species on the forum!
Rules for entering (yes there's rules!
)
1) When entering your fish, post both the common and scientific name.
reason: certain cats share some common names and can be easily mixed up.
2) You must post at least 1 picture of your fish.
reason: so we know you're not making up having a 10" Cory or the like.
3) Not really a rule but feel free to share anything about your cat that you'd like, such as how long you've had it or growth rate.
