From the wound I would say its the other payara.
 
My first reaction was it might be the other payara but it really could be any of those fish. Maybe it was some of those gambusia.

2nd to last pic shows a circle,p's mouths are narrow.
gash does look like it could be from a tooth but the pb could have hit him right.
cuda,not sure how wide there mouths open.

Definitely the other payara. The one at work inflicted a wound on some flagfish that was the same, and even in the same place.

and those are acrobatic fish to bite up there with mouths like those.lol
reasons i thought bass was he has been nipping at them alot.
and the size of the circle,hard to see in these pics but heres an outline.lol
or do you think the circle isnt from an open mouth?
ive never seen the cuda open his mouth very wide but i have no clue.

I have pbass and a payara. All about the same size. The orinos never mess with him. If might turned up hurt I would think that he hurt himself. He's a spaz.
