WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE HOCKEY TEAM AND WHY?

My favorite team is the Detroit Red Wings!
im from Canada and pretty close to Toronto but i hate the leafs!
I like the Wings because the team is a dynasty, they're incredible to watch and are a team who is always a serious contender for the cup. They have such depth and a couple of the most talented players in the league, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom

The Capitals because I have been a fan forever, and our team has tons of character. Up and down season this year but 1 point out of eastern conference #1 spot and 9 game winning streak isnt bad.

The Pittsburgh Penguins because they're my home team, and they're a decent team.

Calgary Flames.
Why? Well for starters, there about as close to home as we got, here in Saskatchewan. Admired their work ethic in the 2003-04 season and cheered for them as they beat Vancouver and then went all the way to the stanly cup final that year. Been a big fan ever since. And Jarome Iginla is one of my very favourite hockey players.

Grew up a Habs fan, but have little reason to cheer for them today. There not the great team they were in the past. The Halak trade this summer was sort of a last straw for me.

Basically I tend to like the better teams in the league......there more exciting to watch. Also like the teams from the west better then the eastern conference, as i am more familier with them and watch a lot more games involving teams from the west. The leafs, I really do not like, for many reasons, and always watch a different game ......unless the leaf game is the only one on T.V.
