whote worm like things in newly filled 55gal

there is little white worm/hair like things on the glass around the bottom of my newly filled 55gal. i was going to put fish in the tank and i seen them so if any could help me with this problen that would be great

Do they move? Where did the water come from?
If they do not move then they could be bits of silicone adhesive or even fibers of polishing cloth, if so empty the tank, scrub it with white vinegar and paper towel or clean soap free cotton cloth, rinse, and refil.

Sounds like Planaria.

But its doesnt make sense that they appeared in an unused tank that was just filled.
So maybe they arent.

I think your right. They could have lived in the old filter or gravel..
