I'm from Los Angeles CA. and looking to purchase a couple of bass (peacock preffered) for a 135Gal. I would want them small 4" to watch them grow.

dont wanna start the heckling already but a 135 is not i deal for peacocks or lmb, not sure what hte dimensions are, i guess if you have a6 foot tank and real good filtration you could do 2
just stay away from tems and orinos

A 135 is ideal for a LMB, it just wont hold him forever!

IMO if you can keep the LMB alive long enough to outgrow the tank then I would worry about it then. But if your getting him at 4 inches, then sit back and relax because a 135 is gonna be a world for him.

Thanks guys. but to answer my question... lol
Where can I find a place to purchase a Peacock or LM?.... =)

:iagree: If I were you I'd wait till spring, then order. I just checked with Paul in aquaculture. He has some but they are like very very small. If you wait till spring I guarantee you , he'll be selling some largemouth bass. Forget about the PBass. Those things are dumb! Just stick to Native fish they rule!:headbang2

I have a list of Socal LFS's on one of my blogs if you'd like to check....most of them have small Pbass available most of the time.

I have 3 LMB and they have plenty of personality and are eating pellets along with live feeders. I'm impressed with the LMB.

I got mine off of stock truck. Paid 1.50 for each. They were 4-5" long.
