Why $5000 for a fish?

id have to agree with peanut here..i could see payin 150 to 200 for a fish but it would have to be a descent size..im saying know not being an ass or anything to anyone on this sight cause i love all you guys..but how can u spend all this money on fish especially some of u that have a million pbass is there really a reason for all these fish...its like crack to u guys...im sayin maybe 5 or so would be cool but y is there a need for 50 pbasss...and spending thousands on a fish that is unnesacary(spelt wrong)

It's all comes down to how many and how bad you want certain fish.

You can't really compare people. Some people are willing to spend more on things than others and want more than others.

Price and the word expensive are all relative terms. Your "expensive" purchase is chump change to Neoprodigy and Neoprodigy's "expensive" is nothing to Bill Gates.

So it really depends on the person and the level they are in.

What fish do you keep?

It's simple. You will fall in one of these categories:

A.) You like fish, u can afford fish even though price is high u buy fish.

B.) You like fish, don't like price then don't buy.

C.) You like fish, can't afford price, then too bad u can't buy.

Simple as that. Now question is which one are you?

Oh no. your comments are perfectly fine.

Some people are just addicted to certain fish. Me for example. I'm addicted to Cichla. I like Cichla VERY VERY much and having just 1 of each species isn't enough for me. I don't need 50 or a hundre but I'm happy with 10 or maybe less. Like a school of a certain species of fish.

Price. We all know that Cichla Monoculus and Cichla Ocelaris don;'t cost that much. But at one time I wanted BIG cicha so bad that I begged my friend to sell me his big mono and ocelaris. they were 18" each. The price tag.....$400!!! Was it expensive? YES! Was it overpriced? YES! Did I pay for it? YES! But was I happy that I was able to take the fish home? YES!!

hahaah i guess..but im sayin some guy spent like 400 on a 3 inch or so cichla intermedia that is a little crazy wat if that thing dies then ur screwed..
