hi all i got 3 flowerhorns about a month ago and thay looked really sweet really red and blue now a month later there losing all there red .what am i doing wrong or is it just how thay go .i have checked all water chem and it is spot on .i do water change once a week between 25% and 50% and feed hakari gold, prawns, bloodworm plz help.

If water is great. Then food, tank set up including size and gravel, and the fish stressing each other out. I can tell you now that gold is not good enough. You should atleast be using bio gold plus.

Is the tank water clear? Or is it dark from the driftwood?
Could the dark water be causing them to dull?

colouration may change from juveniles to adults, also depends on the "make" of the flowerhorn, you would get better answers in the hybrid section or if chrisplosion was online.

It's just growing into it's adult coloration.
I had a big male ZZ that was grey with a pinkisk throat/ chest.
He had alot of red when he was small. But, when he got 9"+ it all dulled unless he was spawning
