I have 4 clown loaches , and they chase most of my fish around the tank are they just playing ? or are they eating the slime coat off the others ? they are real fast as you know sometimes my fish have to swim through the wood to get rid of them !

They will feed on slime coats but the ones I had would chase anything that tried to get away and would ignore the fish that ignored them, I had a school of about six @ 4+"s and they would also play follow the leader. It seems like they just think it is funny.
My old clown loaches did that to my pbass. I woke up one morning and the problem was gone. Unfortunatly, so were the loaches lol.
I have 2 clown loaches in a tank with a bully of a firemouth, a laid back Managuense, and 2 "as long as you stay away from my cave you're cool" blood parrots. The clown loaches just cruise around and torment everyone, then dart away as soon as they get messed with. Pretty entertaining!
Mine also do that with my Red Tiger Mota but one went to close and the Mota beat the crap out of it so i just left with two
