why cellcast acrylic?

When reading before about acrylic aquariums I remember reading that you should use cell cast acrylic. Why is that? what is the difference between cell cast and regular acrylic such as plexi glass and products like that?
 
thanks for the info. obviously large tank builds would require the better material but it seems for my sump build I could probably get by with the cheaper stuff.
 
Cast forms a stronger joint when 'gluing' extruded takes longer to dry and has a weaker joint.

*From what i know working a in a plastic retail/ custom fabrication shop, cast actually varies in thickness more the extruded. Extruded gets pushed through a die making it consistency. Where as cast is poured into a mold so it can actually vary a bit.
